Every year, devastating wildfires burn across the United States. At the same time, a growing number of people are living where wildfires are a real risk. While these fires will continue to happen, there are things you can do to protect your home and neighborhood as well as your family’s safety. Grant County Fire District 8 joins the Chamber, along with WA Department of Natural Resources to educate community members on mitigation actions. Encouraging the Grant County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) along with local city-funded police agencies in Mattawa, Royal City, and Warden to work together to deal with shared challenges of keeping communities safe, utilizing relationships built with state and federal agencies. Watch for notices on the annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day Luncheon, held each year on January 9th.
Mobilizing efforts of local, state and federal resources to improve outpatient services for medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy and additional programs which support the rural, agricultural, aging and diverse communities in the vast geographic area.
