Encouraging members to educate themselves on issues and candidates of interest that have direct effect on both personal and business climate and community well-being at large.
Encouraging property owners in all communities to exercise their constitutional right and privilege of casting a ballot, with the ultimate goal of increasing voter registration in the Chambers service area, including special service districts, cities, county, state and federal entities. There are others leaders in districts on issues of concern with committee assignments that can also be reached. Collaborative efforts around Grant County is key, as is working with neighboring counties such as Adams, Benton, Douglas, Kittitas and Yakima counties.
Grant County Chamber executives meet quarterly for sharing concerns and considering solutions. The Chamber is also part of the AWB Grassroots Alliance for news/action in Olympia.
