January 12, 2027 - 7th Annual Luncheon (location TBD) in honor of National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day Started by the Chamber in 2020, this recognition of the men and women who choose to protect and to serve the communities. Invited are local, county, state and federal LE agency personnel, as well as retirees, to chat in a relaxed setting with business members and community stakeholders while sharing the latest successes and challenges for their agency. Sworn personnel are hosted; nominal lunch fee for others. Invitation/RSVP required-limited capacity. (LEAD Sat 1/9/27)
January & February 2027 Dates TBD - Skills USA/Washington is the #1 workforce development organization for students to be empowered students to become skilled professionals, career-ready leaders and responsible community members. Wahluke HS trials for can lead to state and national recognitions.
February - 2027 Dates TBD - "Amazing Warrior Shake" competition for chose national contestants from local participating junior highs in Wahluke and Royal School Districts. Global Amazing Shakes occurs in March each year.
March 28, 2026 - "Dress Express" annual "Pay it Forward" event offering shopping experience for free dresses and accessories for prom events at local high schools. Started by Honorary Chamber member, Caroline Pingatore Holmes in 2023 and is continued in her memory.
April 4, 2026 Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Desert Aire Park for local students held the day before Easter. Sponsored by Wahluke Community Coalition (WCC), with partners Mattawa/Desert Aire Lions Club and the Chamber. Easter Egg Hunt in Hunt Park also. Details TBD on both
April 2026 - Quarterly Chamber Event - Date/Location/Topic TBD
May 2026 - Commemoration of America's 250th Birthday Month long collaboration with all area groups for planning, hosting, and promoting as many events and activities as possible!
May 14, 2026 - Regional Key Leader Luncheon, a collaborative initiative to promote a healthier, drug and alcohol free community for our youth through education, advocacy and prevention strategies. Sponsored by Grant County Coalitions (Wahluke, Moses Lake, Quincy, Soap Lake, Royal City) and hosted at the New Life Church, Royal City. Limited capacity-Invitation/RSVP
May 16, 2026 - Community Days 99349 is back! Chamber is bringing back this tradition, with a new twist to focus on patriotism, civic pride and community! In the planning stages, so to sign up to help! Watch for details
June 2026 - Annual Firewise Kickoff Event to educate residents on keeping outdoor spaces free from unwanted wildfire fuels. Sponsored by GC Fire District 8, the Chamber and other local agencies. Activities coincide with county-wide burn ban held June through September.
July 4th, 2026 - 8am (Public Welcome) Annual U.S. Flag raising at Hund Park/Mattawa, sponsored again by the Coalition of Christian Congregations (CCC), the City of Mattawa, GCFD8 and the Chamber. Includes light refreshments.

August 4, 2026 - Primary election for local, county, state and federal elections
August 2026 - First day of Wahluke School District, includes an ecclesiastical gathering sponsored by Coalition of Christian Congregations (CCC) and voter registration sponsored by the Chamber.
August 2026 (Date/time TBD) - Candidate forum (not a debate) for all open races as well as any levy or bond measures on ballot in November general elections. Held at Wahluke HS Auditorium sponsored by the Chamber and moderated.
September 2026 2nd Annual Leadership Summit - 9:00a-2:00p Date/Location TBD Strategic planning aimed at gathering leaders from the Chambers core service region, including all sizes/types of business and industry, along with elected officials and strategic community partners, to travel together down the roads of possibilities for solutions and innovations for the next decade and beyond! Invitation/RSVP required - limited capacity
October 2026 - Trunk or Treat Events held in both Desert Aire and Mattawa sponsored by City of Mattawa and Mattawa/Desert Aire Lions Club, supported by the Chamber.
November 3, 2026 - Election Day-Remember to Vote - Registration info Click Here
December 11, 2026 - Lower Yakima Valley Lighted Truck Parade (Mattawa) followed by 4th Annual Non-Denominational Nativity event sponsored by the Coalition of Christian Congregations (CCC), the Chamber and others. Public Welcome
