Coordinating efforts between the public and private sector to initiate interests and respond to inquiries about locating or expanding businesses in the South Grant County region.  

Tourism

Traveling to different places for leisure, exploration, or recreation involves individuals or groups visiting destinations outside their usual environment for a range of purposes. Supporting elements  include relaxation, cultural experiences, adventure, attractions, historical education, and can spawn unique business opportunities/investments to create jobs that serve the many silos that drive a local economy.  Check out Grant County Tourism Advisory Committee Travel Planner

Urban Growth Areas (UGA)

Assist to ensure that cities, towns, and unincorporated growth areas are designated to receive future urban development with the County in the lead for designating, expanding, and reducing UGA boundaries, established 


Infrastructure

Basic facilities, services and installations for the functioning of the community, including transportation, communications, water, power, and public institutions including cities and special service districts.

Vantage to Vernita Project

Continued advancements for improvements to the twenty eight mile stretch of state highway to accommodate increases in business and consumer transit through the region, including safety measures such as round abouts, passing lanes, pullouts, turn lanes, signage, lighting, reflector strips and other emerging methods.

Energy-Water-Wind-Solar-Natural Resources

The process of improving a community's economic well-being and quality of life, involves the distribution of resources, the growth of the economy, and the development of human and social resources.  Collaboration continues with local, county, regional, state and federal agencies along with private entities for long-range plans to ensure consistent supply of energy availability in the South Grant County area, for businesses and consumers alike, is on-going. 

Solid Waste

Working with Grant County Public Works to investigate possible public/private partnership options for long range solution to management of solid waste including transfer stations, recycling, composting, and long-range planning for use of landfills.
