Community Partnerships - Necessary and Effective

Established in 2023 after a student overdose, this non-denominational effort through a collaborative focus  now engages over twenty groups that come together despite language barriers to offer alternative activities aimed at youth and families.

Established in 2006, the Mattawa Area Food Bank is a 501c3 non-profit organization is a hunger relief agency, managed solely by  volunteers who believe nutritious food should reach rural communities like ours and given freely to anyone hungry enough to ask. Cash donations are tax deductible and volunteers are welcome to help always.  Distributions are the 2nd and 4th Saturday each month.

Established in 1999, this 501c4 community organization has the sole purpose of fund raising to benefit different aspects of the community, including the popular Hot Desert Nights Golf Tournament, Car Show, with evening entertainment.  Scholarships to high school seniors, toy drive at the holidays, Trunk or Treat on Halloween, Easter Egg Hunt in Desert Aire and recycling eyeglasses to needy individuals are just a few places they are helping.  Learn more or contact them on Facebook.
